What sparked your interest in Red Ventures?
Transitioning from owning your own business back into any corporate environment can be a tough adjustment, but Red Ventures had the same core focus as I did with my business: to drive profits while being a good partner. That, combined with the speed and intensity with which the organization operated, made Red Ventures a perfect fit.
What do you remember most about your interview process?
The amount of detailed knowledge the senior leadership team had about specific marketing initiatives. Coming from a corporate world where you had to explain the differences between paid and natural search to the CEO, Red Ventures was quite the stark contrast. The senior leaders I interviewed with knew intricate details about their paid search operations, including what the current volumes and metrics were (literally in real-time). It was very refreshing.
What made you realize Red Ventures was the place for you?
After meeting with the team, I felt like I could have a true impact on their paid search practice. I was also excited to be challenged by a group of peers who were as hyper-focused on details as I was.
What is the best part about working at Red Ventures?
The pace. It’s awesome to see an idea come to fruition in minutes rather than months. If you have an idea and a strong business case as to its potential impact, there’s no hesitation at Red Ventures-you execute on it and test it every step of the way.
When is the last time you laughed out loud at work?
Really? This is a silly question for anybody who’s ever sat near the search team! Somebody’s always doing something crazy or talking about something off-the-wall. I’m not a “laugh out loud” kind of guy, but I seriously cry from laughing so hard at least once a week.
