Steven Sibley

Executive Vice President

Steve Sibley manages DirectStarTV, Red Ventures' largest and oldest business. DirectStarTV generates customers for DIRECTV, the nation's largest satellite television provider. In this role, Steve oversees all aspects of the business including strategy, sales, operations, marketing and cost management. Before joining Red Ventures in 2009, Steve held leadership positions in the Home Improvement Finance, Healthcare Finance and Strategy Services divisions at Capital One Financial Services in Boston, MA and London, UK. He also held research and consulting positions at StubHub (now owned by Ebay) and Corporate Decisions, Inc./Mercer Management Consulting. Steve received his undergraduate degree in mathematical economics from Brown University and his MBA from Stanford University's Graduate School of Business.

What did you Study? Majored in Mathematical Economics

What did you do prior to joining Red Ventures? My first job out of school was as a management consultant. After a couple of years advising companies, I moved to a diversified financial services company and worked on starting up new businesses, investing in businesses and managing growing small businesses.

What made you realize Red Ventures was the place for you? I was struck by how passionately everyone talked about the business and the company. It was clear that everyone here takes the overall business performance personally and goes the extra mile to drive results.

What is the best part about working at Red Ventures? I worked for a large organization before I came here so I've really loved the pace of change. We're able to go from ideas to implementation in minutes rather than months!

When is the last time you laughed out loud at work? Today. I was in a meeting with Joe when Ric and Dan popped their heads in to jab him about losing every basketball game earlier that morning.
