Software Engineer
South Charlotte

By the time you've reached the end of this paragraph, Red Ventures will have made countless API transactions, all thanks to the expertise of our Engineers. Instead of logging hours chained to a desk, our engineers have an active role in our business.

Your voice will be heard – it's not about blindly putting together your piece of the puzzle to connect to the larger project. It's about collaborating along the way, designing the pieces as a collective community to solve the problem. And it's okay to fail – we work and fail fast here, and we learn from our mistakes.

Who are YOU?

Results-Driven: You like to see things in action. You are the “engineer that could”. At RV, you can help drive revenue daily, with technology that facilitates every component of our overall marketing and sales strategy.

Lifelong-Learner: You are a constant learner with a thirst for knowledge. Want to learn a new language just because? Go for it! You'll have plenty of experts in your peer group to guide you, and part of your job will be to help guide others, as your knowledge can fulfill their curiosity.

Autonomy: Forget the red tape. Forget the micromanaging. Forget the monotonous routine. You crave the ability to drive your own progress. You don't want to only write amazing code; you want to own product development and technical solutions across multiple businesses.

Passionate: For you, engineering isn’t a hobby – it’s a passion. Have you ever built something that you could’ve bought… just because you wanted to? Have you ever taken something apart, only to immediately put it back together, just to see how it works? If you love reading about the newest technologies, are active in the technology community, or have side-projects that you work on outside of work – you’re our kind of engineer.

Your Day at RV:

To ensure you can tackle whatever challenge the day brings, you will start your day with breakfast from one of our cafés with a made to order omelet, oatmeal with all the fixin’s, or a fresh smoothie. From there, the options are limitless. Your day might be filled with architecture discussions to map out the ideal solution for a partner or you could be pushing a solution to production that could be used by over a million users this week alone.

Regardless of the specific to-dos, our work culture is highly collaborative, whether that is through pair programming or working across Red Ventures with technical and non-technical teams. Our collaborative, open-plan office space is filled with talented, like-minded engineers who enjoy taking advantage of our yoga and spin classes, playing ping pong or bowling (yes, we have a bowling alley), or grabbing a beer at one of our two beer gardens. IPA lovers encouraged to apply.

What We Need:

  • 2+ years of recent server side experience in technologies such as C#, Golang, PHP, or Node
  • Experience in front-end technologies such as React, Angular and Polymer
