 DESCRIPTION: 

Do you want to get an inside peek to see what it’s like to work at Red Ventures, but have full-time plans for the summer?

The 3-Day Summit is designed for you to learn more about Red Ventures, the industries we operate in and to gain exposure to our full time positions. The summit will consist of seminars, a case project, interaction with our senior leadership team and opportunities to shadow meetings and roles.  Think one part personal development and one part exploration of Red Ventures.

The group will also observe our monthly business review sessions where our entire company discusses and debates key business topics. We’ll be sure to have a little fun along the way and you’ll experience Charlotte too!

WHO SHOULD APPLY TO THE 3-DAY SUMMIT?

  • Current Juniors interested in RV, but have another internship lined up this summer
  • Individuals interested in RV but want to experience another industry this summer
  • Students who missed our summer internship deadline (FYI, our full-summer internship is now closed) 

WHY PARTICIPATE:

  • Participants will gain a deep understanding of Red Ventures while also receiving personal development opportunities
  • Select candidates from the summit will receive an expedited interview for our full-time Strategic Analyst role

TARGET CANDIDATE PROFILE:

  • Preferred minimum 3.3 GPA from a strong academic program
  • Current 3rd year students that will be rising seniors in May (Graduation date of Dec. 2017 or May 2018)
  • Preferred major in analytically-oriented fields such as; Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Physics
  • Scrappy, tenacious, and self-motivated team player with strong interpersonal skills coupled with a competitive spirit, no ego and a great sense of humor
  • Intellectual curiosity with a strong desire to utilize your advanced quantitative skills with large data sets and compelling business challenges 

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

  • Applications need to be submitted by February 28th at Midnight
  • Select candidates will receive a phone interview with a member of our recruiting team then a case phone interview with a member of our business team. Top candidates from these screens will be selected the 3-Day Summit!
  • Overnight stay provided by Red Ventures in Uptown Charlotte for 3 nights
  • Transportation to and from our headquarters in Indian Land, SC will be provided each day
  • Participants are responsible for providing their own transportation to Charlotte for the summit
  • The Summit will begin on Tuesday, May 16th and participants will depart Friday, May 19th in the morning.

Responsibilities Include:


• Successfully completing our comprehensive sales training which includes product knowledge, salesmanship, and our software systems (training for our Spanish-speaking team will be in Spanish)
• Drive profit through both inbound and permission-based outbound calls by utilizing persuasive sales techniques
• Consistently perform on a variety of dimensions including, exceeding sales goals and meeting quality assurance requirements
• Increase customer profitability by utilizing cross-selling and upselling techniques
• Ensure a positive customer experience by educating customers on the features and benefits of the product, responding to questions and overcoming objections, and accurately updating our contact management system
• Flexibility to work evening and/or weekend hours: we are open from 7am – 12am (midnight) EST - this is a full-time sales position and we take sales calls nationwide.

Data Scientist

The Data Science team at Red Ventures is responsible for leveraging the full funnel of data to optimize our existing businesses and setting a vision for data into the future.

We are looking for:

General Summary:

 What We’re Looking for:

  • 4+ years of overall work experience, preferably in Human Resources.

SUMMARY:


The Payroll Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the payroll function within the HR team, including processing employee payroll and leading a small team. 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collect, compile and enter payroll data using Workday software and ensure information is processed accurately and timely.

Senior IT Security Engineer

Red Ventures is seeking a person to join our growing IT Cyber Security team.  The ideal candidate for this important position is passionate about network and system security technologies and techniques and how best to use them to keep the bad guys out. 

This person will work with and tune security systems ranging from firewalls, endpoint security, cloud security, vulnerability scanning and so forth. We need you to take lead on one or more of these systems and/or become a secondary subject matter expert in these areas.  This will be an “all-you-can-eat” buffet of cybersecurity tools and systems!

Responsibilities:

  • Daily monitoring and tuning of all IT security systems such as IDS/IPS, anti-virus, firewalls, DDoS and similar.

Qualities we’re looking for in a Designer:

We’re looking for a User Experience Designer to join our budding UX team. You'll be part of a specialized team to create multi-device experiences from apps and mobile to desktop, working across high-tech industries like wireless, telco, home services, energy, software, insurance and financial services. 

Joining forces with engineers and analysts, you'll gain access to real-time consumer data, using UX tactics to convert user data into purposeful designs. 

Examples of your day-to-day: 

  • Research and analysis, conducting user research and communicating this to stake holders. 
  • Create interactive wire-frames, optimizing user-flows for web and mobile experiences. 
  • Quickly implement and fine-tune new and existing workflows that will create and optimize the user experience. 
  • Drive user experience strategy, incorporating the full UX process, to include usability research, analysis, user persona creation, journey and channel mapping, card sorting, wire-frames and more.

We are looking for an experienced Systems Engineer with an emphasis on IBM’s WebSphere Application Server knowledge with 3+ years’ experience directly working with Websphere. You will be part of a team that is focused on quality and development of large-scale, mission-critical software in a fast-paced, agile environment. 

Job Description:

System Engineer with a focus on J2EE Web Application Administration using WebSphere Application Server 7 or higher (8.5.5 preferred) including installation, configuration, and maintenance.  A qualified candidate will have intimate familiarity with all the components of a multi-tiered network deployed WebSphere application running in a 24X7 UNIX environment.

This engineer will be part of a team responsible for automating, testing, and maintaining the installation & build process of Middleware components for an application in use by upwards of 20MM end users per year. This includes executing day-to-day tasks associated with ensuring the smooth and efficient operation and troubleshooting of a WebSphere runtime environment.

 Qualifications: 

  • A working knowledge of:
    • Oracle 12C databases
    • SUSE and RHEL 5.x and 6.x OS administration
    • Apache Web server / Tomcat application server 
  • A proven understanding of system interoperability requirements and scripting on UNIX platforms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to be able to easily work with users to diagnose network connectivity and functionality issues and suggest creative solutions.
  • Must be able to pass USPS sensitive security clearance requirements
