Based on our exciting business growth Red Ventures is recruiting a Head of Product to the Higher Education business. Higher Education is a multimillion-dollar business with multiple consumer facing brands focused on connecting adult learners with the right career opportunities and education pathways to change their career trajectory. We have a highly valuable audience of 90 million prospective students across our portfolio of digital brands.

In this role you will be a founding member of the RV Education Product team and will create and oversee the product strategy for current and future RV Education product offerings, with the goal of creating impactful consumer products in the learning, career coaching, and human development space.

The role is critical to defining the future product and service offerings and overall company strategy.

What You’ll Do

  • Build a disruptive and out-of-the box business strategy to take a highly successful media and distribution company to an online destination for all career and education research, planning, decision-making needs.
  • Define, articulate, and execute this revised strategy as well as set product and design vision.
  • Leverage consumer insights, market research and data to align the leadership team on the right focus areas for the RV Education future product suite.
  • Build and manage a world-class product team inclusive of product managers and UX designers - along with a passionate and learner-consumer obsessed product culture.
  • Work cross-functionally with Senior Executives, Marketing, Engineering, and Business teams –
  • Define product requirements and overall roadmaps of the business with clarity on feasibility, time, cost, and impact.
  • Hire, mentor, and manage teams who will drive forward the RV Education mission and an ever-expanding product vision around a seamless career-long experience, convenience, trust, and personalization.
  • Drive innovation and scalable processes around the product development cycle –
  • Develop metrics to assess the success of products and features and determine necessary enhancements.
  • Work closely with RV EDU Engineering teams around release scope and priorities, delivery estimates, and product release processes.

What We’re Looking For

  • 15+ years of successful product management experience with significant experience in organizational leadership and management roles, including product design for B2C products o Demonstrated experience conceiving, crafting and implementing impactful product roadmaps with an emphasis on expansion into creative new product verticals
  • Experience building from the ground up and scaling B2C products. –
  • Experience with product marketing and content strategy to support B2C product growth.
  • A true growth-stage leader - one who loves that every day is different where no task is too small; an entrepreneurial spirit that is flexible, experimental, and resourceful
  • Believer in healthy conflict who easily navigates through disagreements and helps others reach win-win resolutions and productive conclusions
  • A strong desire to help build a diverse team and a keen ability to coach and mentor passionate product leaders within a new and less mature product organization
  • A hunger to win followership and a desire to be an active and collaborative thought partner
  • An appreciation for design and an ability to translate customer needs into compelling products Experience in the EdTech or education not required – we appreciate a fresh perspective.
