At a Glance

The Partnership Opportunity Manager will work with Editorial, Social, Video and Product teams to develop compelling sponsorship packages for advertising partners. This role will also look outside the building to identify and develop relationships with external partners who may help augment our in-market offerings with innovative user experiences. They are a content packaging, partnerships, and monetization expert --- with an eye trained on what’s next.

What You'll Do

  • Develop innovative proactive programs for advertisers that leverage the brands and capabilities of the CMG portfolio, including CNET, GameSpot, TV Guide, and more, across media, data, social, editorial integrations, talent development, and experiential
  • Foster relationships with editorial, creative, and platform teams to craft go-to-market strategies for tentpole events, editorial features, and content franchises
  • Work in lockstep with Sales and Integrated Marketing to serve as the voice of the client, brainstorming and developing new offerings based on market signals
  • Own Sales training workstreams to effectively communicate and educate the Direct Ad Sales team on new programs and opportunities for various categories
  • Generate high-quality deliverables in various formats, breaking down multi-faceted programs and insight-driven stories into digestible presentations
  • Collaborate with Business Development and Social teams to productize what the platforms (e.g., Snapchat, TikTok, FB, YouTube) have to offer
  • Monitor new content platforms, entertainment, and cultural trends - educating the marketing and sales team on what’s out there, and how we can leverage it to uplevel our standard offering 
  • Recommend brand lift measurement opportunities to quantify the results of new programs or packages and develop business benchmarks

What We're Looking For

  • 2-3 years of relevant marketing experience 
  • Strong writing and presentation skills and a passion for insight-driven storytelling
  • Foundational knowledge of the media landscape and ability to tell a trend from a fad 
  • Experience in advertiser marketing at a publisher, brand, or other media-based entity
  • Working knowledge of digital media deal components and media planning
  • Demonstrate a sense of ownership, proactive thought-leadership, and willingness to apply intellectual curiosity to solve problems
