Red Ventures is seeking an individual to join our Outage and Change Management team. This is a crucial position on our growing End User and System Support IT Operations team. The person hired into this role will be responsible for administering our change management process and help with post mortem discovery and follow ups for outages. You must be a quick learner and able to think outside the box to solve some of the teams more complex problems. This person will communicate with individuals at all level of the organization and will also be expected to make suggestions to improve workflow and service.
Ensures that standardized methods and procedures are used for all changes, ideally adapted to ISO 27001 framework
Facilitates change management meetings and ensures that change are sufficiently documented, prevents scheduled changes from competing with each other, and leverages business relationships to ensure that changes are not conflicting with corporate campaigns or initiatives.
Reviews and proposes improvements to the change control process, helps identify the different types of changes within our framework,
Work with ITSM leadership to streamline workflow around change requests and submittal process.
Collect data and develop reporting around change activity including risk, frequency, success, etc.
Member of Change Advisory Board (CAB) and often involved with decisions around operational change freezes, determination around which changes are eligible for auto-approval, and responsible for communicating high risk or emergency changes to business leadership.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Approximately (3) years of Major Incident management experience is typically required to perform at expectation.
Approximately (3) years of Change management experience, preferably at a larger organization.
Thorough ITIL understanding – ITIL Foundations and additional certifications preferred
Extremely polished communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience with ServiceNow ticketing platform
Refined analytical skills to help resolve outages and determine root cause
Often required to handle presentations
Attention to detail and critical thinker
Self-starter, driven to action without specific direction
