Account Manager
Waltham, MA

As an Account Manager you will deliver outstanding service to our advertising clients by developing business-building direct mail, email, and mobile marketing programs. These advertising programs enable our clients to reach moving consumers at the precise time they are in need of our clients’ products and services. 

What you'll do: 

  • Understand clients marketing objectives and work with cross-functional teams to create innovative strategies that maximize program performance
  • Manage the construction of partner print and digital advertisements.  Determine the best creative, content, and ad strategy through partner collaboration and communication.  Coordinate with the creative team through effective Creative Briefs. 
  • Drive the day-to-day client activity to insure accurate and timely execution of marketing programs for national retail and services brands.
  • Join internal cross-functional teams in areas like operations, marketing, and creative while creating development and mentorship opportunities for our Account Associates.
  • Partner with clients and internal teams on multi-variate test plans to maximize client campaign performance.
  • Lead client meetings to present and discuss program optimization, execution and marketing best practices.
  • Effectively communicate the client's goals and represent the client's interests to internal cross-functional groups.

Compliance Officer

Our Compliance Officer will be responsible for enforcing regulations in all levels and aspects of business. Additionally, you will provide guidance and education on a variety of compliance matters. You will be our greatest teacher and mentor in all things compliance.

We are looking for someone who is well-versed in legal guidelines and corporate governance best practices. You should be someone who enjoys staying abreast of changing industry standards. You should be a professional of high ethical standards and work diligently to complete your duties while keeping the objectives of the business in mind.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with our General Counsel to develop and implement an effective legal compliance program that with a heavy focus on data privacy and protection in an environment that is ever-changing.
  • Develop and oversee control systems to prevent or deal with violations of legal guidelines and internal policies and monitor enforcement of standards and regulations.
  • Educate and train employees on compliance standards, including technical teams as well as business leaders.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and evolving best practices in regulatory development within and outside of the company to be able to make a clear judgement calls on needed compliance control changes.
  • Revise procedures and reports periodically to identify hidden risks or non-conformity issues.
  • Review the work of colleagues when necessary to identify compliance issues and provide advice/training as well as assess the business’s future ventures to identify possible compliance risks.
  • Prepare reports for senior management and external partners as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience and proven success as a Compliance Officer, preferably with a focus on data privacy and protection within a marketing and/or technology company.
  • BSc/BA in a relevant field, such as Law/Legal Services, Finance, Business Administration, or similar degree. JD or LLM is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of the industry’s standards and regulations, including US Data Protection and Privacy policies on an international, federal, and state level.
  • A business acumen with the ability to interact with senior business leaders as well as technical leads within Engineering, Data Science, and IT Operations.
  • High level of personal integrity, and the ability to professionally handle confidential matters and exude the appropriate level of judgment and maturity.
  • Methodical and diligent with outstanding planning and organization abilities.
  • An analytical mind able to “see” the complexities of procedures and regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills and high attention to detail within a fast-paced environment.

You will work with our business teams to ensure that we remain in adherence to legal standards and in-house policies as it pertains to a variety of transactional agreements and general compliance matters.

Our Corporate Counsel works closely with our business teams to push the needle forward as a partner in the deal. We are looking for someone who is well-versed in contracts and corporate governance best practices, someone who can advise and guide teams to the best decision. You should be someone who enjoys staying abreast of changing industry standards, particularly in digital marketing and technology. You should be a professional of high ethical standards and work diligently to complete your duties while keeping the objectives of the business in mind.

Responsibilities

  • Be an integral part of the business teams’ efforts to establish and evaluate existing and potential business relationships, with significant responsibilities for negotiating, preparing, and reviewing partner contracts.
  • Provide management team with day-to-day legal perspective and guidance, as well as risk assessment and mitigation.
  • Serve as legal advisor and active participant in establishing partnerships and facilitating merger, acquisition and divestiture transactions, including due diligence, negotiation and preparation of term sheets and definitive agreements, and assistance with financing documentation and closing process.
  • Assist with a variety of corporate matters including organizational documents, company structure, and management of corporate entities.
  • Assist with management of intellectual property portfolio.
  • Work closely with General Counsel on risk assessment and on compliance-related processes and procedures to support the company’s compliance environment and ever-present focus on quality.
  • Address employment related legal issues in conjunction with Human Resources department, including EEOC and worker’s compensation claims.
  • Coordinate with outside counsel on litigation and specialized issues as required.

 Candidate Profile

  • 5-8 years of experience working with senior business management in connection with a broad range of legal matters including contracts, intellectual property, marketing, compliance, employment, privacy, M&A, and other transactional activities.  Prior in-house experience a plus.
  • Outstanding negotiating, communication, drafting, and writing skills.
  • Possess a high degree of business savvy, integrity, candor, intellectual curiosity, and self-motivation.
  • Strategic thinking and innovative, creative problem-solving, often in unprecedented cutting-edge scenarios.
  • Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills, with a well-developed sense of humor, fun and adventure.
  • Previous experience operating effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Comfortable with change, and ability to pivot quickly as needs and priorities change. Think fast, work fast, react fast, adapt fast.
  • Effective listening and diagnostic skills. Capable of assessing and managing appropriate levels of risk consistent with upholding the law and maintaining the company’s high ethical standards while helping drive the business forward.
