Internet marketing company Red Ventures brings 1,000 new, high-paying jobs to the state
Fort Mill, S.C. — Gov. Mark Sanford spent much of December 9 at the new corporate headquarters of Red Ventures. The online marketing and sales company recently moved to Fort Mill, S.C. from nearby Charlotte, N.C. Red Ventures is bringing 1,000 new jobs to South Carolina and is investing $20 million into their state-of-the-art office complex. The company hired at a rate of nearly one new employee a day in 2009 a growth that spurred their relocation. They expect to hire more than 400 employees in 2010.
“Companies that allow and enable their employees to act more quickly on their imagination are going to be the places that win,” Sanford said during the Red Ventures ribbon-cutting ceremony. “And in essence, that’s what you all have done for a long time now.”
Sanford was the keynote speaker at the ceremony. Following the event, Sanford spent time meeting company employees and touring the office with Red Ventures co-founders Ric Elias and Dan Feldstein. The longtime friends founded the company in 2000 and have experienced growing profits ever since. Red Ventures revolutionizes the way companies find new customers. Merging online marketing and sales with proprietary optimization technologies, they generate new customers in large volumes for leading companies in satellite television, home security and other businesses.
“Today is a celebration of the investment you all are making in this state. It’s a celebration of those 1,000 jobs that will come over time that will make a difference in a lot of people’s lives,” Sanford said. “More than anything today is a celebration of the confidence you have in the people of this state.”
