Red Ventures Earns #4 Spot on Inc. Magazine’s List of Fastest Growing Companies
CHARLOTTE, N.C.– Red Ventures, a Ballantyne-based Internet marketing company, has landed the number-four spot on the Inc. 500, an annual ranking of the fastest-growing private companies in the nation. Red Ventures acquires customer for leading national brands including DIRECTV, Sirius Satellite Radio and ADT Security Services. It was founded in 2000 and has more than 400 employees in four locations including Charlotte, Dallas, Miami and San Juan Puert Rico
This year’s Inc. 500 rankings are based on revenue growth from 2003 through 2006. Companies were required to show minimum revenues of $200,000 in the base year. Red Ventures took the fourth rank with 9,570% revenue growth from 2003-2006.
“We’re honored to be recognized as a growing company of great promise,” said CEO Ric Elias. “As rewarding as the path has been to reach this point, we’re even more excited about the future of Red Ventures.” The company joins an elite group named to the Inc. 500. In their early years, Microsoft, Oracle, PowerBar, E*Trade Financial and UnderArmour all made the list.
Charlotte Mayor Pat McCrory said the Inc. 500 honor is a win for the city. “We’re proud that Red Ventures has chosen to call Charlotte home. Not only is Red Ventures rapidly creating sustainable, high quality jobs for city residents, it’s helping raise Charlotte’s profile as a city that can foster the growth of innovative, technology-based companies.”
Red Ventures co-founder and CMO (Chief Marketing Officer) Dan Feldstein said they deliberately chose Charlotte as their base because of its growth potential and quality workforce.
“We aspired to build a growth-oriented company, and Charlotte is a remarkable growth city,” said Feldstein. Red Ventures was founded nearly eight years ago by Elias and Feldstein who first began working together at Cendant, the direct marketing powerhouse. The company prides itself on fostering an entrepreneurial culture and attracting top talent in marketing, sales and technology to drive growth.
Red Ventures is an offshoot of Elias and Feldstein’s original business, the Charlotte-based marketing agency RedF, which was sold to its management team in 2005. By 2010, Elias and Feldstein said they plan for Red Ventures to more than double in size.
“We’ve built a great platform and we will continue to grow by launching new businesses and acquiring companies that fit our strategy,” said Elias. “But the real key to our success has been the quality of talent we’ve been able to attract.”
