Red Ventures Wins 2016 NC Tech Award: Best Use of Technology - Analytics
Raleigh, N.C. and Charlotte, N.C. (Nov. 17, 2016) – Red Ventures has won the 2016 NC Tech Award for Best Use of Technology in the Analytics category, as announced at the annual awards gala on Thursday, Nov. 10 at the Raleigh Convention Center, presented in conjunction with title sponsor Cherry Bekaert. This year’s event was attended by hundreds of leaders from across the state.
The winning technology – a digital marketing tool created by the Red Ventures data science team - eliminates the need for analysts to manually bid on paid search keywords for search engine marketing. Using advanced analytics and programming unique to the Red Ventures environment, the tool retrieves data for each keyword and then uses predictive models to generate a bid that will maximize profitability for that keyword.
"This award is testament to the innovation and talent in our Data Science team and the increasing sophistication of our digital marketing capabilities," said John Thomas, Vice President of Data Science at Red Ventures. "And what’s most exciting of all is that we’re only getting started."
"Since 1995, the NC Tech Awards has honored excellence and innovation throughout North Carolina, representing the best and brightest," said Brooks Raiford, president and CEO of NCTA. "As a winner, Red Ventures has distinguished itself as a peer-leader and we are proud to recognize them as a 2016 NC Tech Awards winner."
