Red Ventures hires new interns for an intense summer business program

The summer business analyst internship brings in college students from around the country and can lead to full-time work at the marketing and sales company.

FORT MILL, S.C. — Free housing in corporate apartments, sponsored activities around Charlotte and access to C-level company leadership throughout the summer are just a few of the perks of the highly competitive internship program starting this month at Red Ventures’ headquarters.

“We put students in high-impact roles, so they can get hands-on experience from day one,” said Jessica Hensen, college recruiter at Red Ventures. “It’s not your typical internship by any means.”

The internship program provides students with immediate access to company leadership and ongoing training in business strategies and negotiation. Unlike many summer internships, Red Ventures treats interns as full-time hires. As a result, interns regularly have opportunities to be involved with complicated business decisions. By the end of the summer, top performers receive a full-time job offer.

A business analyst and former intern at Red Ventures, Emily Maciag said, “My summer internship experiences were the most exciting summers of my college career. Red Ventures gave me ample opportunity learn hands-on, and I was the one actually analyzing the data and providing insight that influenced decisions.”

Entrance into the internship program is very competitive. Students from Wake Forest, Davidson, UNC Chapel Hill and other universities across the country went through a series of interviews with employees and participated in multiple business case discussions. Out of the 434 applicants, 13 interns were chosen for the program.
