Inspired by Natalie Jaresko
Our current mission of raising $5M for the people of Ukraine is inspired by Natalie Jaresko, the former Finance Minister of Ukraine. Joining us at Red Ventures recently for a Leadership conference, Natalie reminded us of the tragic realities of war, but more importantly, the power of resilience and hope. Inspired by her words, we have made a commitment to use our platform to help make a difference.

About Ric Elias
Ric Elias is the co-founder and CEO of Red Ventures. In addition to his visionary business leadership, Ric is widely known for his viral TEDTalk, "3 Things I Learned While My Plane Crashed" and his many social impact initiatives.
Since 2013, Ric has also led a number of nonprofits aimed at creating education and career opportunities for underserved youth. To date, Road to Hire has supported 1,200 young people on their paths to high-earning careers, and Golden Door Scholars has award 551 full scholarships to high-achieving undocumented students.
In 2021, Ric and his wife Brenda joined The Giving Pledge, committing to give away the majority of their wealth for the greater good.

Our History
In 2022, in response to the war unfolding in Ukraine, Ric has expanded the mission of an existing nonprofit he founded in 2017: Rebuild Puerto Rico. The new organization, Stronger Than Ever, will support humanitarian crises around the world. Beginning with a personal pledge of $2.5M, our goal is to raise $5M to support Ukrainian people.
In 2017, Hurricane Maria struck Puerto Rico as “the most devastating storm to hit the island this century, if not in modern history.” In the days that followed, Ric Elias launched a new nonprofit to help his home territory, called Rebuild Puerto Rico, and personally pledged $5M to catalyze high-impact, long-term solutions. To date, Rebuild Puerto Rico has provided 100 homes for Puerto Ricans who were displaced by the storm.
